For Abbie and Kam, choosing where to marry was about more than finding a beautiful destination. It was about bringing their closest family and friends together somewhere that felt distinctly, unmistakably Filipino.

They had considered several destinations before Boracay. But having visited the island many times, they knew its beauty—and they knew it would give their guests, many of whom had never been to the Philippines, a glimpse of the country beyond Manila.

Some places become part of your love story long before your wedding day. For Emily and Marlowe, the Philippines had already become that place.

Nearly a decade after meeting through mutual friends while studying at the University of Technology Sydney, and years after a sunrise proposal atop a limestone cliff in El Nido, they found themselves standing on another Philippine shoreline, this time surrounded by 70 of the people they love most, exchanging vows in Boracay.

Looking back, it's difficult for them to separate the destination from the memories they created there.

"We always knew we wanted to get married in the Philippines," Marlowe says. "It felt full circle from where we got engaged."

For June Rich Sensontic, a Cebuano nurse, and Fumiko Inoue, who moved from Japan to Cebu for work, their story started unexpectedly during Cebu's Sinulog Festival amid streets filled with music, celebration, and devotion. Neither imagined that a chance meeting would eventually lead them across countries, through months of long-distance, and finally to a beachfront wedding overlooking the sea at Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan.

Today, their wedding serves as a beautiful reminder that the best destination weddings aren't simply about spectacular locations, they're about creating a place where two families, two cultures, and countless memories come together.
